The early prototype answered beautifully in a controlled demo and fell apart on real traffic - hallucinating details, drifting off-brand, and giving confident answers to questions it had no basis to answer. To sell into real businesses, Aptivo needed an agent that stayed grounded in each customer's own knowledge and could be measured, not just admired.
Ground it, guard it, then prove it
We rebuilt the core around retrieval so every answer traces back to the customer's own content, wrapped each tool the agent can call - booking, lead capture, hand-off - in strict validation, and stood up an evaluation harness that scores quality on every change. Nothing shipped until the numbers said it was better.
